What is an LED Display?

LED displays, also called LED screens or LED video walls, are large-format digital displays made of modular panels containing thousands of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). These panels or cabinets work together to create seamless visual surfaces capable of showing images, video and real-time information with high brightness and excellent visibility. Unlike traditional LCD video walls, Direct View LED technology generates light directly from each pixel.

This allows greater brightness, more flexible sizes and formats, and better performance in challenging lighting conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Today LED displays are widely used in digital signage and visual communication in retail stores, corporate meeting rooms, stadiums, transport hubs, control rooms and public information systems. Thanks to their modular design, they can be built in almost any size or shape, from compact indoor installations to giant outdoor digital billboards.

Indoor vs outdoor LED displays

LED displays are designed differently depending on the environment where they are installed. Indoor and outdoor systems share the same core technology but are engineered to meet very different requirements in terms of brightness, protection, viewing distance and structural design. Indoor LED displays are optimized for controlled environments such as retail stores, corporate meeting rooms, showrooms and broadcast studios, where high resolution and short viewing distances are essential.

Outdoor LED displays, outdoor LED screens and large-format LED video walls, on the other hand, are built to withstand weather conditions and deliver high brightness for perfect visibility in direct sunlight, making them ideal for digital billboards, stadiums and public information systems.

Indoor LED Display

Indoor LED displays are ideal for retail stores, showrooms, meeting rooms, control rooms, museums, hospitality venues, and corporate environments where high definition, elegant design, and close-up viewing are required.

Outdoor LED Display

Outdoor LED displays are designed for digital billboards, smart cities, stadiums, transportation, media facades, and events, ensuring high brightness and reliability in all weather conditions.
