There are infrastructures that play a quiet yet essential role in the life of a community. Informational displays installed at the gateways of a town are among them: they represent the first visual point of contact between a local authority and its citizens, the channel through which a municipality establishes its communicative presence within public space. For this reason, when the Municipality of Brenna decided to upgrade its digital signage system, the choice of technology partner could not be left to chance.
The administration already had an installation positioned strategically at the entrance to the town, originally supplied by Aesys. Over time, however, the system began to show its limitations: brightness levels were no longer suitable for the surrounding environmental conditions, while the lack of flexibility highlighted the need for a deeper rethink of the municipality’s entire communication infrastructure. This was not simply about replacing outdated hardware, but about redefining an institutional communication tool according to the standards expected of a modern public administration.
The municipality ultimately selected Macropix for its ability to deliver a fully integrated and highly specialized solution: bespoke design, meticulous installation, and dedicated long-term support. A single point of contact focused exclusively on LED display manufacturing, capable of ensuring the operational continuity that public-sector projects require as a necessity, not a luxury. For public administrations, in fact, an informational display is never just a technical device: it is an institutional communication asset operating every day, visible to residents, visitors, and local businesses alike. System reliability, visual quality, and ease of content management all directly influence how efficiently and authoritatively a municipality is perceived to communicate.
The new LED screen, installed in the same location as the previous system, delivers high brightness and full readability in any weather condition, from direct sunlight to evening hours. Content can be managed remotely through a simple and intuitive workflow, enabling municipal staff to update communications in real time without requiring external technical support. The display accurately reproduces the municipality’s crest and institutional visual identity, strengthening the authority’s visibility within the urban landscape and restoring to the town’s entrance a communication presence that is coherent, professional, and technologically up to date.
Installation details: the Vexillum series
The solution installed for the Municipality of Brenna belongs to the Vexillum series by Macropix, an outdoor LED display range specifically engineered for institutional and public-service environments, where representational needs must coexist with durability and performance. The choice of a 3 mm pixel pitch ensures outstanding image definition even at close viewing distances, making content perfectly legible for both pedestrians and passing motorists.
The display area, measuring 224 × 112 cm, provides a generous visual surface proportioned to the architectural and urban context of the installation, allowing institutional logos, text, and graphic communications to be displayed simultaneously with strong visual impact. Below are the main technical specifications of the installation:
- Product: LED information display
- Series: Vexillum
- Pixel Pitch: 3 mm
- Display Area: 224 × 112 cm
- Application: Outdoor institutional communication
- Software used: Omnibus
The result is a clear technological leap forward compared to the previous solution supplied by Aesys. Today, the Municipality of Brenna benefits from a communication system fully aligned with the expectations of a modern public administration, backed by the reliability of an Italian specialist partner focused on quality and long-term support.
