LED screen for arcades, “Torri Bianche” shopping center in Vimercate

Macropix has delivered a cutting-edge LED display installation for LOG (Lot of Games) at the "Torri Bianche" Shopping Center in Vimercate, transforming the retail space into an immersive visual experience. The installation features two custom-designed displays, combining vertical and horizontal configurations to create a comprehensive visual environment. The project's distinctive innovation lies in specially engineered modules that allow the displays to seamlessly bend around corners, creating perfect three-dimensional integration with the store's architecture—an effect impossible with traditional screen technologies. Managed through cloud-based software, the system enables instant content updates and remote control, allowing LOG to communicate promotions and events in real time. The design prioritizes easy maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to store operations.

In the vibrant “Torri Bianche” shopping center in Vimercate, inside the LOG (Lot of Games) store, one of the most dynamic reference points in the Italian entertainment retail landscape, Macropix has created an installation that redefines the very concept of visual communication in commercial environments. The objective? To radically transform the visitor experience, creating not simply a screen, but a truly immersive visual environment that dialogues with the space, captures attention and communicates the brand’s innovative identity through the power of next-generation LED technology. Macropix, thanks to its wide range of products, has been able to transform the exhibition area into a remarkably engaging and captivating experience for visitors. The solution proposed by Macropix combines technology, design and precision engineering, offering a completely customized next-generation indoor display.

Technical installation details

The project features two LED displays based on the Mobilis-FT series, a system characterized by modularity, reduced thickness and 90-degree design that allows the creation of right-angle screens or creative shapes. The structures, custom-designed for the retail environment, integrate slim 33mm modules with fully front-serviceable maintenance, ideal for contexts where space is limited and aesthetics must remain impeccable.

  • Product: Mobilis-FT2.6
  • Pitch: 2.604 mm
  • Brightness: 800 nits
  • Refresh rate: 3,840 Hz
  • Grayscale: 14 bit
  • Viewing angle: 160° horizontal / 160° vertical
  • Installation: wall and floor mounting, with front maintenance
  • Structure: painted steel with special supports and indoor static analysis

The 45° angle innovation

36 special modules cut at 45° represent the distinctive technological heart of the project. This engineering solution allows the creation of perfect sharp edges, without visual interruptions, transforming two separate surfaces into a single coherent three-dimensional installation. The result? A display that “bends” light, following the architecture of the space and creating a scenographic effect impossible with traditional technologies.

Components and control systems

The system is managed through Omnibus software, which allows content programming, remote control and real-time diagnostics. The system also includes:

  • UltraVID-H2/A2 Controller with HDMI 2.0 input
  • Omnibus-400 and Windows Value 1 license
  • Synchronized management electronics for fluid and coherent visualizations

Upgrade and custom design

As anticipated, the distinctive element of the project is the presence of 36 modules cut at 45°, which allow full exploitation of the Mobilis-FT’s ability to create sharp edges and three-dimensional shapes. This feature enables a continuous and geometric visual structure, capable of amplifying the scenographic impact and brand identity within the store. The project also included:

  • Mechanical design
  • Static analysis
  • Special anchoring structures (column, rear mounting and floor mounting)

Installation advantages

The advantages introduced by the installation go well beyond aesthetic appeal and take on strategic value for both the brand and customers. For LOG, the presence of such an imposing visual surface guarantees immediate differentiation within a crowded shopping center: the store becomes recognizable at a glance and stands out thanks to a visual language capable of capturing attention naturally. Every piece of content conveyed helps strengthen brand identity, becoming a direct extension of its values and conveying an image of innovation, dynamism and care for the public’s experience. From the visitors’ perspective, the technology represents not only a scenographic element, but creates an immersive experience that makes entering the store more engaging and memorable. Communications take on a dynamic dimension: promotions, news and special initiatives can be updated in real time, offering contextual information with high visual impact and helping to improve the overall perception of the brand.

Products used: Mobilis-FT

For the installation, the Mobilis-FT series was chosen, a next-generation indoor LED display designed by Macropix to guarantee visual quality, modularity and ease of maintenance. The combination of standard and 45° cut modules has allowed the creation of a unique three-dimensional structure, perfectly integrated with the store’s architectural design.
