The project developed for Euronics at the Merlata Bloom shopping center in Milan is an integrated digital communication installation that combines technology, design, and functionality. Delivered by Macropix, the project involved creating a high-impact Digital LED portal at the store entrance, designed to enhance brand identity and improve the visitor experience through high-resolution dynamic content.
Installation overview
The project features indoor LED screens from the MOBILIS-FT2.6 series. The installation includes three LED screens, all with 2.6mm pixel pitch, 147,456 pixels/m² graphic resolution, and SMD 1515 RGB technology, delivering sharp images, rich colors, and viewing uniformity at 3840 Hz. Brightness reaches 800 nits with a 160° viewing angle, ideal for high-traffic retail environments. The three LED structures include:
- One MOBILIS-FT2.6 display measuring 9000×1000 mm (9 m²), comprising 9×2 modules of 1000×500 mm, resolution 3456×384 px, maximum consumption 3.6 kW, weight 162 kg;
- Two MOBILIS-FT2.6L displays measuring 1500×3000 mm each (4.5 m²), comprising 3×6 modules of 500×500 mm, resolution 576×1152 px, maximum consumption 1.8 kW, weight 90 kg each.
The system is managed via UltraDVI-4K and Omnibus-400 electronics, with an annual Omnibus cloud license, ensuring remote control and intelligent content management.
Technical details
The installation created a seamless digital LED portal, perfectly integrated into the store entrance facade. Thanks to the ultra-thin structure (33 mm) of the MOBILIS-FT system, the result is a visually striking installation that’s lightweight and fully integrated into the architecture. The displays, mounted in a 90° corner configuration, deliver an immersive, cohesive visual effect with no gaps between surfaces. Front-access maintenance ensures practicality and safety even in tight spaces.
Components and control systems
The system uses SMD 1515 LEDs with 1R1G1B configuration, ensuring wide color gamut and 3,840 Hz refresh rate. The UltraDVI-4K electronics and Omnibus-400 software enable high-definition content management and remote updates via Omnibus Cloud. The installation supports DVI and 4K video connections for maximum compatibility with modern digital signage systems.
Installation benefits
The installation transformed the store entrance into an emotional digital portal capable of attracting and engaging audiences while strengthening Euronics’ visual and technological brand identity. The most tangible benefits include:
- Complete architectural integration thanks to slim, modular design.
- High energy efficiency with average consumption of just 120 W/m².
- Wide viewing angle (160°) and uniform brightness for indoor spaces.
- Full front-access maintenance for quick, non-invasive service.
- Remote control and scheduling via Omnibus Cloud platform.

Products used
The Euronics project utilized the MOBILIS-FT series, a next-generation indoor LED solution designed to offer maximum flexibility, superior visual performance, and total architectural integration. MOBILIS-FT stands out for its ultra-slim design, with an overall thickness of just 33 mm and 30 mm cabinets, ideal for applications where space is critical. The system’s modularity allows different formats (1000×500 mm, 1000×250 mm, 500×500 mm, and 500×250 mm) to be freely combined for customized configurations and creative shapes, such as digital portals, curved walls, or 90° corner structures. Thanks to cable-free connections and panel rotation capability, MOBILIS-FT offers nearly unlimited design freedom, enabling installations with sharp angles and perfect visual continuity. The lightweight design at 18 kg/m² facilitates mounting on walls, suspended structures, or floors, making it suitable even for complex retail environments or architecturally constrained spaces.
MOBILIS-FT technical specifications
From a technical standpoint, the 2.6mm pitch guarantees 147,456 pixels/m² graphic definition, while SMD 1515 RGB LEDs (1R1G1B) ensure consistent, deep, and stable color over time. The system boasts wide color gamut, 14-bit grayscale, 3,840 Hz refresh rate, and 800–1,000 nit brightness, delivering smooth, realistic images even in bright ambient lighting. The 160° horizontal and vertical viewing angle ensures perfect readability from any perspective, essential for high-traffic retail environments.
Operationally, MOBILIS-FT integrates a fully front-access maintenance system, enabling quick service without dismantling the structure. Energy consumption is optimized (maximum 400 W/m², average 120 W/m²) ensuring efficiency and sustainability. Finally, the product is CE, FCC, and ETL certified, with IP20 protection rating, LED lifespan up to 100,000 hours, and operating temperature range between -20°C and +50°C, confirming its reliability and longevity. In summary, MOBILIS-FT represents a cutting-edge LED solution that combines aesthetics, performance, and practicality, making it ideal for indoor retail applications where visual impact, elegance, and modularity are essential.
